Last Chance!

Hello Pioneers!
We are so excited to see all of you who are coming to the reunion! Some of you have contacted me to let me know that your money is on the way. Thank you! For anyone else who is still interested in coming, I really need to know ASAP! If you are only planning to come the park, we have a little more time for you to send in your money . But for anyone who is interested in the dinner on Saturday night at Thanksgiving point,
I must have the final count, and your money by this Saturday, June 6th.
I cannot stretch it any farther than that, because they need our final reservation count by then. There are some of you that I have not heard from at all, but please try and come anyway! We all want you there! For those of you who have told me you are planning to attend, please send your money right away!
If you have any questions, please contact me! I hope you are all enjoying your summer! We hope to see you soon!

It's not too late.

Hi Friends,

This is Janalee Smith. I hope you have had a chance to get in touch with Kristie Nattress about the reunion and that you are going to be able to make it.
I realize there are a lot of good reasons for not attending.
Just for fun, I want to give you my top five unacceptable excuses for not attending the 20 year reunion.

5. I don't have the money. Please pack a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and come to the park Friday night. If you can, please attend both nights. If you are a not local...that's a good excuse.
4. I live in my parents' basement. Thank heavens this is not the Utah Home Show.
3. I'm not married or I'm divorced or going through a divorce or don't have kids or I'm just not (fill in the blank) that people expect me to be, etc. Hey - 20 "roller coaster" years have passed. Life happens. We get it.
2. I'm fat, bald or gray, wrinkled, unemployed, etc... You'll be in good company. Come "As Is".
1. There isn't anyone I want to see.
Listen, Buster...there are people who want to see YOU.

Now, email Kristie TODAY with your intent to attend. please!!!! (if you can or if you haven't all ready)
She is still accepting RSVPs. lincandkris@gmail.com

GO PIONEERS!

Reunion Update

Hi everyone!
I hope you all are doing well. I just wanted to remind you that the money for the reunion is due tomorrow, June 1st. If you are certain that you are coming, but your money is late, please contact me and let me know, so I can reserve your spot. I hope that you all can make it!
I wanted to give you some specific information about the high school tour. The school will be open from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Friday, June 19th. You can check in at the lobby anytime during those hours. But certain restricted areas of the school, such as the gym, auditorium, shop, etc, will only be open from 3:45 - 4:30 for security reasons. So plan accordingly if you are interested in seeing those areas. It should be really fun to see the old places, as well as all the changes that have taken place in the school.
We are excited that the reunion is approaching so quickly! Thanks to all of you that have responded and are planning to come. We can't wait to see you! Have a great week, and contact me if you have any questions: lincandkris@gmail.com
Thanks!
-Kristie

We would love for you to take a minute to fill out the questionnaire. Even if you can't attend the reunion, your classmates would like to know what you have been up to these last 20 years.

There are some fun questions on it, but the only ones you need to answer are your name, and if you are planning to come to the reunion. So, just answer the ones you want, enter the code & hit submit.

Anybody out There?

So we're well into a new year and based on what i've seen as I've checked back on the blog, I'm afraid I might've given the poor thing the kiss of Death. Sorry guys. Maybe it was just the stress of the Holidays and now that they're past, more people will have a minute to post.
I especially wonder about the others in the Drama/Debate crew. I mean, we spent four years making people listen to what we had to say, a venue like this should be ideal. Mike, Jared, Kristie, Candy, etc. what have you got to say for yourselves. I know you're busy, but you can take five minutes to tell us what successes you've become. (And even if you're abject failures, who's gonna know online?)

Connections

Hello Mighty Pioneers! Janalee got in touch with me and said that the blog had a place for my slightly warped outlook. So let's get into it. After my four years of exposure to folks like "G." Smith (Drama), Mrs. Otto (Biology) and Bro. Hill (Seminary) my psyche was sufficiently twisted that I went and joined the U.S Army and served with a National Guard hospital unit until it was disbanded. I served an LDS mission in the Phillipines where I got to meet folks who thought I was insanely wealthy because I grew up in a house with air conditioning. I came back and got into EMS, running with a couple ambulance companies picking up what was left of people that had backed a four wheeler in front of a semi, shot themselves full of exotic and illegal substances, or just shot themselves. A couple of interesting encounters with psychotic and/or chemically impaired individuals convinced me of the need to get some self-defense skills so I got into American Kenpo and have been studying/teaching this style for 13 years now. I got married and am privileged to have four (wonderful, beautiful, exceptional, exasperating etc.) kids, although things are not working out for their Mom and I and we are currently in the process of divorce. I have'nt had the time to really keep pursuing theater, but I still feel the need to perform, so I got with a bagpipe band for a time and am now with a Taiko (Japanese drum) group.

So I'm excited for the reunion, although it's a little freaky trying to wrap my mind around 20(aaghh)years. Janalee seems to have been able to keep pretty good track of several of our classmates, i've heard some exciting things about what they've done with their lives. I could have tried harder to keep my connections to you guys open, really should have, we move on and make our lives, but we still hold these reunions in acknowledgement that for those four years the most important people in our lives tend to be our classmates. So let's get a little excited, get the word out and see if we can't challenge some more of our friends to come and post here. I'd like to re-establish some of those connections and I don't want to have to wait clear till reunion night.
